Job Purpose
- Take a lead role for the assessment and co-ordination of the multi-agence services for children and their families with disabilities and or life limiting conditions, and who attend the Child Development Centre.
- Obtain highly complex information on disabilities and deliver this, both formally and informally, to the parents/carer’s and professionals in order to meet the demands of the service.
- Communicate the range of options available for children through acquired specialist knowledge and convey with sensitivity and empathy.
- Take a lead responsibility for contributing to and implementing changes in policy and work with other agencies to ensure the delivery of a high quality seamless service for children and their families.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
