An opportunity has arisen for band 5 Registered nurses to work within the inpatient services in Campbeltown Hospital.
Inpatient services consists of a 15 bedded GP acute ward which cares for acute admissions via the accident and emergency dept, end of life care in a dedicated room to care for patients and their families.
There are a number of services under the remit of inpatient services and the postholder would be required to work in the acute ward with having an opportunity to support the A&E staff. There is also rehabilitation services within the multi disciplinary team. Day case services to provide adjunct therapies and transfusions etc.
There is also a busy Outpatient department with visiting consultants from a range of specialities.
Campbeltown Hospital is situated in the Kintyre Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. This is a rural hospital within a bustling town. Outdoor pursuits are available with local organised events such as the Mull of Kintyre Run (MOK) great cycling and surfing conditions on the doorstop. The islands of Islay, Gigha, Arran and Jura are easily accessible with a good ferry service.
