NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work with us in the Independent Living Review Team as part of the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership.   Ours is a mixed team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and AHP Support Workers working in the community in Dundee.  Our service will enable you to develop your own experience and core skills, as well as be part of innovative practice, quality improvement and shared CPD opportunities.

The Independent Living Review Team works with individuals and care staff in the community to create a culture of enablement, independence and supported self-management, reviewing and reducing the need for packages of care.

We are looking for enthusiastic therapists with a genuine interest in promoting independence, a positive approach to integrated team working and a clear and confident ability to promote the value of Physiotherapy.

As the successful applicant you will have relevant experience working as a Physiotherapist within rehabilitation services, possess good communication and decision making skills and have a positive approach to multidisciplinary working within an integrated team.

You will work in partnership with service users to provide Physiotherapy interventions within their own home.

We provide excellent formal and informal supervision, and actively support individual development through performance development review, learning plans and CPD and promote and welcome quality improvement and innovative practice.

In line with current evidence and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions will be moving towards 7 day working.  This is for improved outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care.   (NB This team currently does not provide a 7-day service).

Applicants must be HCPC Registered.

Part-time working may be considered.
