Pharmacologistics Team (Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh)

Assistant Procurement Officer

Band 3, 0.4 wte, 15 hours - Permanent

£23,914 - £25,808 pro rata

Public holidays will be worked where applicable

We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to work as an Assistant Procurement Officer. ​​​​​​​

What will I do?

  • Liaise with suppliers to investigate and record supply problems to ensure these are communicated to pharmacy staff
  • Reviewing stockholding reports, outstanding order reports for 5 hospital sites
  • Maintain pharmacy supply tracker by reviewing resupply dates, escalating to senior technician if dates are extended
  • Responding to ad hoc enquiries regards shortages
  • Updating of contract information on the ordering platform

Where will I be based?

This post will be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE), although there will be opportunities to carry out many aspects of the role from a remote site.
