The Post:

The Scientific Manager will provide leadership, subject matter expertise and direction to SCBN, working collaboratively with the Lead Clinician and Programme Manager to enable the network to deliver aims and objectives agreed through national commissioning and to support transformation of diagnostic services in Scotland.

The Candidate:

National Services Division (NSD) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Network Scientific Manager to the Scottish Clinical Biochemistry Network (SCBN).

Applicants will be educated to masters level or equivalent and registered with the Health Care Professions Council. They will have extensive experience in the provision, management and development of clinical biochemistry services and will have a proven record in managing strategic change within a complex environment. The ability to work across traditional NHS Board boundaries and organisations is essential.

Applicants must have support from their current NHS employer to be seconded from their substantive role. 

Candidates must have current HCPC registration at the time of applying.

Location and Working Pattern:

Current base will apply

Work pattern is Monday to Friday, 2 Pas/8 hours  per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
