Substantive, Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Band 6 - Salary Range £37,831 - £46,100 per annum
Distant Island Allowance of £2,256 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking Physiotherapist to join our small team providing MSK Physiotherapy for the people of Shetland. The post is based at the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
The caseload covers a wide range of MSK conditions but at times will also include women’s health, neurology, rheumatology and persisting pain. We have a team of MSK Physiotherapists who are also generalist specialists so there will be lots of opportunity to experience and gain wide clinical knowledge and skills in a supportive environment in a unique remote & rural setting.
There are excellent development opportunities including linking in with other health boards and all team members are encouraged to participate in service improvement activity.
We also recognise that Physiotherapists have a wealth of transferable experience and skills, so if you are interested in a Physiotherapy Role but have other areas of skills and experience, looking to try something new or feel you could offer a way of working we haven’t considered please think about getting in touch with us. We are keen to be flexible and think differently alongside looking for the full MSK role.
Rise to the challenge and enjoy the opportunity - Shetland is a wonderful place to live and work. Shetland offers low pollution, low crime, excellent schools, great leisure facilities, unique wildlife and amazing scenery, whilst still only a short flight away from the UK mainland.
