NHS Lanarkshire are delighted to announce that we have an exciting opportunity for International Registered Nurses to join our Acute Services Team.
We have 3 acute hospitals within NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Monklands, University Hospital Hairmyres and University Hospital Wishaw. *Please note you could be appointed to any of these locations.
Applications are invited from internationally-educated nurses from overseas with a degree-level qualification in nursing, who have at this point started the UK NMC registration process and have successfully passed the following:
Part 1 Test of Competence NMC CBT (both A and B)
IELTS/OET to the level required by the UK NMC
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
Please explain which specialties you have worked in previously, along with the dates of this work experience. You can either include this in the application form or within the assessment form under Q3 (Is there any other relevant information that will assist us in shortlisting your application).
Prior to successful registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) you will be employed as a Generic Assistant Practitioner and paid at Agenda for Change (AFC) Band 4. The job description for this post is attached for information.
As a result of Scottish Government funding for this initiative, NHS Lanarkshire can offer the following package with reimbursement following arrival in the country:
English language test (IELTS or OET): 1 x test funded, NMC eligibility and qualification application fee, Part 1 Test of Competence (NMC CBT), Visa, Flight to the UK - contribution of up to a maximum of £600, Part 2 Test of Competence (NMC OSCE): 1 x test funded, NMC registration fee, transfer from UK arrival airport - contribution of up to a maximum of £30, and travel and accommodation to undertake OSCE - contribution of up to a maximum of £200 (1 x test funded).
In addition, accommodation for the first 12 weeks will be provided (please note NHSL accommodation provides mixed sex common areas with private bedrooms).
Please note, should you leave employment with us you may be liable to repay some of these costs.
