OPEN EVENT
NHS 24 are currently recruiting for Clinical Supervisors (Band 6 Nurse Practitioners) and Senior Charge Nurses to join our centres across Scotland.
We are holding open events on Wednesday 5th July 2023 at 3pm and 6pm at our South Queensferry Centre (Norseman House) and we invite you along to find out more about these fantastic Nursing career opportunities.

The open events will last approximately an hour and a half and will be an opportunity for you to find out more about the roles and our organisation. There will also be an opportunity for you to speak to existing members of staff and to ask any questions that you may have about the opportunities available at NHS 24.
These positions are open to anyone who is RGN Part 1 qualified.

Clinical Supervisor (Band 6 Nurse Practitioner)
As the service has evolved, we have been introducing new ways of working and there is now a unique opportunity for Nurses to perform high quality telephone assessments, but also to provide Clinical Supervision to members within a multi-disciplinary team.
Our Enhanced Salary Package
NHS 24 offers a total reward package, with a permanent contract on Band 6 £37,831 - £46,100* (pro rata for part-time hours). Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary of £37,831, this means that the following hourly rates would be applicable -
- Basic Hourly Rate of £19.34
- Saturday / After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate of £25.15
- Sunday / Public Holiday Hourly Rate of £30.95
Senior Charge Nurse
As a Senior Charge Nurse, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Working autonomously, you will use your clinical knowledge and expertise in conjunction with listening, questioning and probing skills to triage patients in your care to ensure safe clinically appropriate outcomes.
You will be registered as an adult nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register and you will possess excellent clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to provide clinical supervision and leadership
Our Enhanced Salary Package
NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a permanent contract on Band 7 £46,244 - £53,789* (pro rata for part-time hours).
Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary, this means that the following hourly rates would be applicable.
- Basic Hourly Rate of £23.65
- Saturday / After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate of £30.75
- Sunday / Public Holiday Hourly Rate of £37.84
*Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service. NHS 24 shift patterns command an average uplift of 33% in addition to the basic salary shown. Dependent on individual shift patterns, this information is indicative only, and cannot be taken as guaranteed.
