We are looking for an exceptional leader to undertake this key role which will lead the Clinical and Care Governance Directorate and establish a shared vision, service objectives through highly developed leadership skills and integrating teams to promote a shared purpose which will improve levels of care and governance for the Board.
You will provide leadership, strategic direction, operational and resource management for the delivery of Clinical and Care Governance specialties across NHS Ayrshire & Arran, including Clinical Effectiveness, Risk Management and Quality Improvement, and to ensure that Clinical Care Services are aligned to effectively support the delivery of NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s wider objectives, through direct working with the Executive Nurse Director and the Executive Medical Director. You will support the implementation of NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Healthcare Quality strategy ensuring the Board remains focussed on the delivery of person centred, safe and effective care through visible and transformational leadership, facilitating the process of change and transformation required to develop world class health and care systems in Ayrshire and Arran. This will include the formulation of long term strategic plans and policies in relation to the progression and delivery of healthcare quality, service transformation and redesign.
As a registered professional with relevant post registration qualifications (such as NMC, HCPC), you will be educated to Masters level (or equivalent qualification in Improvement or Quality Management Systems), supplemented by specialist training to Doctorate level or equivalent.
We are looking for candidates of considerable personal and professional stature who demonstrate highly tuned emotional intelligence, with strong credentials as clinical leaders and a proven track record of delivering clinical and service change and improvements.
Hours: 37.5 per week
