Duties & responsibilities: | We are currently looking for 1 full time member of staff to join our busy but friendly department. You need to understand and demonstrate NHS Lothian’s values through the application of appropriate behaviours and attitudes Responsible for receiving requests for interpreting, source and secure available interpreters and translators for work, to meet the demand of NHS Lothian services. This may involve escalation to agencies if there is insufficient capacity of available Bank interpreters. You will also perform a wide range of administrative duties to support the function of the Interpretation and Translation Service. |
Key requirements: | Proficient in the use of NHS software, Outlook and Microsoft Word and Excel Advanced keyboard skills for data entry Knowledge of NHS structures and organisation in particular the range of specialties and locations across NHS Lothian, and/ or other Health Boards would be beneficial Excellent organisational and oral and written communication skills Evidence of good customer service and call handling skills |
Further information: | The Supplementary Staffing service encompasses a 7-day working rota, which covers NHS Lothian and is responsible for the coordination of supplementary staffing, bank and agency workers |
