CARE NAVIGATOR/RECEPTIONIST

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Care Navigator/Receptionist. You will have a key role in our busy, multi-site general practice, working closely with clinical and reception staff to direct our patients to the “right treatment by the right person at the right time”. You will ensure our patients have a positive, professional interaction with the practice, using innovative IT solutions to process patient’s requests and concerns.
This will be dual role working in Care Navigation and also within the Reception team either at Newburn HC LLP or Old Aberdeen Medical Practice, but should also be available to work in our branch surgery in Northfield as required, or any other location under our remit.
The role involves direct patient contact by phone, answering calls and triaging as appropriate, making appointments, processing prescriptions and mail, dealing with patient requests along with eConsult review and processing.
Person specification:
Experience Essential:
• Demonstrable track record of providing excellent customer service
• Highly developed IT skills and ability to work between different IT systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in working in safety critical environments
Desirable:
• Experience in the NHS or GP Practices
• Previous call handling experience
