The Ventilation Service at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow supports children with complex medical needs, including a requirement for ventilatory support, live at home with their families.
As a team leader within our service, you will have a keen interest in working with children with complex medical needs and will strive to establish and manage packages of care that deliver high quality care for children in both the hospital and community setting. This will include supporting and managing teams of unregistered staff and providing emotional, practical and educational support to both team members and families of children within the service.
As part of our ongoing commitment to developing the Home Ventilation Service we are looking for a Ventilation Service Team Leader, who is a paediatric nurse, who can demonstrate a clear vision for the service and be forward thinking.
As a service we are committed to providing training and support to enhance your existing nursing skills. Previous management experience is desirable, but you will be supported to develop this within the role. You should have knowledge of Clinical Governance and be a team player with the ability to problem solve.
You will work flexibly as part of a team and be able to balance staff/ clinical patient contact with management responsibilities. You should possess good computer skills. Car driver is essential. This is a full time post working Monday - Friday.
