An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Specialist support post within the Infection Prevention and Control Team with an NHS Tayside remit, including care homes.
We require irst level registered nurses with experience and interest in prevention of infection. The post holder will work within the context of infection prevention and control strategies, policies and procedures to improve the health of the population of Tayside NHS Board area, with particular emphasis on prevention and management of healthcare associated infection.
This is an ideal opportunity to develop in the specialist field of infection prevention and control. The successful applicants must be prepared to undertake further career development in infection prevention and control as required.
Applications are invited from candidates who are registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register and ideally possess a recognised academic qualification in Infection Prevention and Control Nursing, or equivalent experience. Applicants should also have clinical nursing experience with a broad range of clinical skills and currently be working within the healthcare setting.
Registered Nurse with valid UK NMC Registration
Candidates must have good interpersonal and management skills and be committed team players.
The ability to travel across the locality is essential.
