Band 3 – Health Care Support Worker (Rotational Positions)

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our teams in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Hospitals.  We are recruiting within the South West Sector (Diagnostics Directorate) seeking rotational band 3 Health Care Support Workers (HCSW).

         Band 3 – Health Care Support Worker

Within the South West Sector there is cross site rotational model enabling staff to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge, skills and patient care across various radiology areas.

Rotation involves working in across our imaging departments at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and one of the following spoke sites including, Institute for Neurological Sciences, Gartnavel General and New Victoria Hospital

Successful candidates will assist Radiographers, medical and nursing staff before, during and after Radiographic, Fluoroscopic, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography and MRI examinations. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, maintaining associated equipment; undertaking administrative duties and any other duties as allocated by the Modality Lead Radiographers and Site Superintendent Radiographers in order to ensure a high quality of service to the patients.

An understanding of confidentiality and the ability to follow policies and procedures is essential and it will be mandatory that you complete the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Care Support Worker Induction and in-house training to gain competencies relevant to the post.

This post also requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.  Previous experience of working within healthcare settings is desirable but not essential for this role.

The clinical provision is 24 hours, 365 days per annum and hours will be 37.5 hours worked over a 7 day week.
