Job Advert

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

If you are a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist then we are currently recruiting a full time permanent, Band 6 post for the physiotherapy team in the Lorn and Islands District General Hospital, Oban. (A Band 5 development  post could be considered for the right candidate)

This post provides an excellent development opportunity, giving you the time and learning opportunities to further develop skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The physiotherapy department in Oban has a wide range of specialist skills within the team and we pride ourselves on developing all of our staff to a level where they can easily move onto more senior or specialist posts.

The role would be based in our community/inpatient team supporting a full range of physiotherapy services but would also focus on long-term condition management for those with a cardiac or respiratory condition and would include responsibility for developing and delivering cardiac and pulmonary rehab services in the area, working with specialist nurses, 3rd sector partners, consultant services and primary care teams.

We are committed to ongoing professional development, organizing and hosting training from some of the best educators from across the UK as well as a structured in-service training program and award winning service development so if you have experience of working as a physiotherapist in a variety of NHS settings we want to hear from you.

If you want to work in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK then give us a call or apply for the post now.

Oban is a busy west coast town surrounded by scenic countryside but only, two hours from Glasgow.

It has good rail and road links to the major cities and is also the centre for many island ferries. If you’re keen to combine an excellent, forward thinking and dynamic working environment with fantastic lifestyle opportunities, then the Physiotherapy department at Lorn and Islands Hospital has everything you need.
