This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to work with the Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams within Specialist Palliative Care Services, Dundee.
You will be a Registered Nurse with a degree and extensive post registration experience. Experience and evidence of continuing professional development in palliative care is desirable. Community nursing experience is also desirable.
The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care is to provide expertise and influence patient care via the primary carer by exercising high levels of judgement and decision making within clinical practice. The primary function of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to bring the highest standards of clinical care to patients and their families through a variety of means. This encompasses advancing clinical practice, providing consultation for healthcare professionals, teaching, providing clinical leadership and contributing to research functions.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register
Registered Nurse with valid UK NMC Registration.
