There is a Permanent and a Fixed Term post for 3 years available with this vacancy,  the fixed term post is full time 37.5 and the permanent post is 34.5hrs per week.  Please put onto your application form which post or posts you wish to apply for.

The Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, cares for a varied range of patients from the North East of Glasgow.  An exciting opportunity is available within AAU for a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner, with a particular focus on Acute Medicine.  It is expected that the successful candidate will achieve the relevant Masters Level Qualification and Swiss Registration as an ANP within 3 years.  You will join a large Nursing Team including a cohort of NPs/ANPs and  gain experience in the assessment, investigation and treatment of a wide variety of medical cases; initially working within the Ambulatory Care Unit within AAU to consolidate new learning and skills.  As training progresses you will work in all areas of the department including the DVT clinic and all acute zones.  You will work under the direct supervision of, and be responsible to, a fully qualified ANP.  It is essential you have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in Acute Medicine, or in an appropriate acute environment. You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to fully complete all relevant training at Masters Level and within the agreed time frame for this post.  The shift pattern will be 11.5 hrs.,  over 7 days and will be predominantly weekdays until qualified.  The post will commence on 01 September 2023
