Locum Appointment for training (LAT)
Fixed Term 2 August 2023 to 6 August 2024
Applications from suitable candidates are invited for the post of Speciality Registrar (LAT) in Histopathology, due to an unexpected vacancy in the training programme. The post is based at Ninewells Hospital
Applicants must meet the entry criteria for Histopathology, which are available via the NHS Health Education England website (medical.hee.nhs.uk/medical-training-recruitment/person-specifications/histopathology-st1)
The successful applicant will receive histopathology training aligned with the Royal College of Pathologists curriculum (2021) and the Gold Guide. If appointed to a relevant Specialty Training Programme through open competition, documented competences achieved through a LAT can count towards CCT, or towards a CESR application for those not entering an approved Specialty Training Programme. There are excellent opportunities for research and participation in undergraduate teaching within the department. The working hours are from Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with no out of hours commitments
