NHS Tayside – Whole System Change & Recovery Programme

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for someone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role to shape, lead and coordinate NHS Tayside’s Whole System Change & Recovery Programme.
This role will be crucial in supporting NHS Tayside to achieve Scottish Government set targets aligned with the Sustainability & Value National Programme.
The main focus of the post is to lead, manage and co-ordinate the Efficiency Work Streams programme for NHS Tayside. This Efficiency Work Streams are the identified focus for delivery of the national Sustainability and Value Programme. The Sustainability and Value (S&V) programme has been established as a joint effort between NHS Boards and the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorate to identify and progress an integrated programme that will support the delivery of health and social care through improvements in quality, cost, clinical effectiveness and efficiency, with a greater focus on delivery of outcomes through using core capacity, reducing dependence on new funding to meet future health and care needs. The intention is to provide the support and infrastructure which will enable opportunities to be identified and implemented on a once for Scotland basis.
The Programme will require the individual to lead the coordination and delivery of the implementation plans for each workstream.
The post holder will be a self-motivated, committed and flexible individual who is used to working autonomously, is comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, and is able to work to tight deadlines. The post holder will have excellent organisational and programme management skills, established improvement skills and strong interpersonal skills. The post holder will be comfortable collecting and analysing data with minimal supervision, and will be able to produce clear high-quality written reports.
The role will report directly to the Board’s Director of Finance with strong links into the Improvement Team.
Candidates will be considered who hold a first degree in a relevant discipline and either a formal qualification or equivalent experience in the field of Programme Management. Ideally you will have experience of leading change programmes within a healthcare setting.

Hours of work are: Mon – Fri, 37.5hours per week.
