An exciting opportunity has arisen on permanent basis, for a Lead Nurse, Excellence & Innovation (Nurse Accreditation Programme Director). Applications are welcome for this Band 8B, 30 hours per week, post based in NHS Grampian. The main focus of the role is to provide visible, leadership and strategic project management of nurse accreditation programmes to enable NHS Grampian to achieve internationally designated recognition in line with NHS Grampian’s NMAHP Framework and NHS Grampian’s Plan for the Future. 

NHS Grampian are proud to be formally progressing on it’s Magnet and Pathway to Excellence journey. The globally recognised accreditation programme recognizes healthcare organisations for their nursing excellence and innovation and quality patient care. The successful applicant will be pivotal in driving forward the board’s progression towards achieving Magnet designation. In doing so the post holder will be required to work collaboratively with a wider range of stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, be a motivated, innovative registered nurse with a current UK NMC registration, hold a Masters degree with evidence of recent, successful, project management. The post holder will have extensive health care experience across a variety of settings and will be an integral part and midwifery leadership team and wider system leaders. Evidence of balancing competing demands and meeting tight deadlines is key to success and the post holder should have excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit.
