Salary:  Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 5 £30,229 to £37,664 per annum pro rata + Enhancement depending on candidate experience.

Marie Curie is here for people living with any terminal illness and their families. We offer expert care, guidance, and support to help patients get the most from the time they have left.

The Marie Curie Rapid Response Service delivers rapid and flexible out of hours nursing care and support for terminally ill patients and their carers.  We are a community based palliative care service whose aim is to respond quickly to support palliative patients and their carers within the community, usually in the patients’ own home. We aim to prevent inappropriate admission to hospital and the choice for the patient of preferred place of care.

The service works in collaboration with other providers of end-of-life care in the community.

Pool cars are provided, but you must have access to your own car.

Enhancements paid, on hours worked after 9pm up to 7am daily and 24 hours on BH.

We are an out of hours service covering evenings seven nights a week, shift times are 1700-0000.

The service covers the whole of Fife.

What we are looking for:  

  • The Registered nurse reports to the Senior Nurse and will have the support of the Clinical Nurse Manager
  • As a Registered Nurse you must have level 1 registration and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms. 
  • Applicants would preferably have palliative care /end of life care experience, but this is not essential as training is provided.

                               30% x your basic salary per hour paid for Saturdays and night duty
