Band 6 Surgical / Oncology Backfill
Specialist Physiotherapist
37.5 hours

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our dynamic Surgical / Critical care and Oncology Physiotherapy Team.
You will deliver physiotherapy assessments and treatments across the Western General site’s specialist teams as part of the backfill service for 5/7 working.
Candidates must display evidence of clinical experience in a variety of acute in-patient areas, with proven exposure in particular to Respiratory, ITU / HDU. Oncology experience would be an advantage although not essential. Ability to prioritise and discharge plan for a wide range of presentations is essential, as is clarity of communication and well-demonstrated organisational skills. Experience of supervision, mentorship and appraisal of other staff members / students is desirable.
The range of conditions and specialities encountered, and requirement for excellence in clinical reasoning and team working in this post at the Western General Hospital will allow the successful candidate to gain extensive and in-depth experience as a band 6 physiotherapist.
Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes, supervision and CPD opportunities.
There is a regular weekend and overnight on-call commitment.
