We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Physiotherapist to lead the Physiotherapy Orthopaedic team. You are responsible for the clinical management, coordination and delivery of effective Physiotherapy services within the unit.
The Orthopaedic unit consists of both trauma and elective patients. It is an exciting and dynamic area to work with a good team working ethos and a very supportive MDT. You require leadership skills to guide and educate junior staff and students in their decision making, facilitate a high turnover of patients, meet the demands of a busy caseload and maintain the quality of assessment. Also to ensure that all patients are discharged in a safe and timely manner to their most appropriate destination.
The team also has to provide a service to the Fracture clinics and the Paediatric ward as required.
As lead for this service you will be required to offer support, training and education to your team and the wider physiotherapy service. Orthopaedic unit has a rostered service at weekends to ensure continuity of care for the patients and this is worked as overtime.
The Physiotherapy service offers structured appraisal and actively promotes Continued Professional Development through in service training and external training.
