0.2 wte Antimicrobial / OPAT Pharmacist band 7, based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow (Fridays). Permanent post.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacist to join the antimicrobial pharmacist team based at QEUH and help provide cover for the Out Patient Antimicrobial Therapy service, contribute to antimicrobial ward rounds and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship agenda. The post holder will
- provide clinical advice to the OPAT service at QEUH
- provide clinical antimicrobial advice and promote antimicrobial stewardship within GGC
- proactively contribute to antimicrobial ward rounds
- help develop/ review antimicrobial guidelines
- proactively contribute to meetings e.g. Antimicrobial Utilisation Committee,
- be involved in junior doctor, pharmacist and nurse teaching
- possibility of contributing to national work on antimicrobials
Some experience in antimicrobials is desirable. The post holder will work closely with the antimicrobial pharmacists in GGC, and the OPAT team. Training will be offered. Applicants from out with the acute sector are also welcomed.
