Practice Education Lead
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week (flexible options such as part-time working would be considered)
Duration: Fixed term/Secondment until until 31st March 2024

Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
What you'll do
The role will lead the design and development of a communication and recruitment campaign for the Allied Health Professions in Scotland that promotes and facilitates the return to practice pathway into the health and social care workforce. The recruitment campaign is targeted at people that have qualified as one of the Allied Health Professions but not currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Requirements include:
Working with others, the postholder will:
- Working with the AHP Practice Education network in Scotland to further develop the national infrastructure to support the AHP return to practice pathway
- Clarify the infrastructure required for a return to practice recruitment campaign for the Allied Health Professions e.g. messaging/ communications required, roles involved across stakeholders, use of social media platforms, and resources required
- Identification and engagement with internal NES marketing and communication roles and external stakeholders required to promote awareness of the campaign and gain their support; this will include working with professional bodies, higher education institutions, marketing and HR roles
- Outline a calendar of events/ stages for a recruitment campaign that can be facilitated over a annual cycle on a recurring basis
- Develop resources for a recruitment campaign that can be adapted by professions and organisations.
- Plan the phasing of the communication and recruitment campaign
What you'll bring
These will include but are not restricted to:
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as one of the Allied Health Professions
- Masters degree (or demonstrate equivalent experience in application referencing SCQF level 11 descriptor)
- Ability to network and influence strategically in order to collaboratively design and develop a recruitment campaign that requires support from a range of stakeholders
- Good written, verbal, IT skills and presentation skills
- Excellent organisational skills and creativity
- Networking and stakeholder management skills and experience of developing and executing communication strategies
- Familiarity with the Health and Care Professions Council return to practice process
- Ability to learn about and use different social media platforms
