Are you a Registered Nurse with a post-registration qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, enthusiastic individual to take up the Senior Charge Nurse post for Ward 7/16 in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The successful applicant will provide clinical leadership and expert advice to all nursing staff in this ward.  Responsibility will include recruitment, supervision, development and deployment of unit staff and will have continual 24 hour responsibility for the management of this 20 bedded respiratory ward. The SCN will be required to work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the ward and the senior management team within ECMS.  This is a key post in delivering our nursing strategies and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient person centered care. The post holder will contribute to the rotational Senior Nurse medicine cover rota out of hours.

To be considered for this post you will be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration, educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level and have post graduate expertise within specialty / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. This is an exciting time for Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the North Sector and this is an ideal post for someone looking to lead a key aspect of hospital services.
