Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The CPD Connect team are responsible for the delivery of continuing professional development (CPD) for GPs, General Practice Nurses (GPNs) and general practice staff across Scotland. The postholder will work as part of a wider team of administrative staff to ensure an integrated and cohesive administrative support to all CPD Connect.
What you'll do
This post will mainly work to support the GPNs CPD education provision.
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
administrative support for several learning programmes
quality improvement submission management
online drop-in sessions support
podcast support
reporting and maintenance of database
What you'll bring
These will include but are not restricted to;
Educated to NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Higher Grade / HNC or equivalent
Relevant experience in a general office role, for example typing, administration
Experience supporting training and education in an online environment and face to face
Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Experience using MS Teams in day-to-day work
Experience of maintaining computerised and manual records in a database
Understanding of discretion or confidentiality in the workplace
Experience of collating data using electronic systems, e.g. evaluations
Experience working within a team that is not co-located, and using electronic systems to communicate and collaborate, e.g. MS Teams, SharePoint.
