Ravenscraig inpatient ward is currently looking for an individual to join their team as a band 7 senior charge nurse.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead forward new ways of working within highly motivated team, we are looking for a leader who is creative, dynamic and who inspires and motivates a team by foster innovation and who will work in partnership with the wider teams.
The Senior Charge Nurse within In-Patient Services is a pivotal role, working with the nursing and multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care is delivered to patients within inpatient wards. Due to the complex needs of this speciality, the ability to be organised and have good time management skills are a priority, as well as possessing excellent communication skills.
The post-holder will be expected to lead the nursing team, in-line with the Senior Charge Nurse job description.
You will have 24 hour continuing responsibility for the ward they manage. It is essential that the post-holder is a First-Level Registered Mental Health Nurse with significant post registration experience and relevant speciality experience with appropriate post-registration training.
You will be required to work a shift pattern in line with the clinical need of the inpatient area and possibly participate in the Senior Charge Nurse rota.
The applicant will be expected to be educated to degree level or equivalent level of skill gained through experience or a wiliness to undertake further academic studies.
