An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our small and friendly community mental health service, working across Badenoch, Strathspey and Nairn. It is hoped that you will have experience of working with older adults with mental health problems and in particular, Dementia.
Your work will include specialist OT assessments and interventions, such as specialised driving assessments, functional health assessments and interventions which will maximise digital care and technology for people with Dementia. You will develop and deliver therapeutic and supportive interventions for clients and carers, both in one to one settings and it is in hoped in future to develop group work such as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be flexible and innovative and will have had previous experience of working with older adults. This role will involve driving, so a driving licence and access to a car is required, however you will be able to apply for a lease car. Relocation packages may be available for the right candidate.
