Job Purpose:
To lead, manage and supervise the operational delivery of a high standard of person centred care and support bythe Community Occupational Therapy team. Ensuring the provision of a comprehensive, intensive service and promoting good outcomes for individuals, their families and carers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Bon Accord Care for a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist. This is a recently revised role with the major focus on the postholder as a clinical specialist who will maintain their own complex caseload and provide day to day support and supervision to team members. The postholder will work closely with the occupational therapy lead in the development and delivery of a quality occupational therapy service.
As a senior practitioner occupational therapist, you will undertake comprehensive, specialist OT assessment and interventions to arrange the provision of equipment, adaptations, and strategies for self -management. You will have excellent assessment, intervention, communication, and organisational skills to be able to support and advise others with complex case management. You will have a strong commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement. Experience of supervising others and leading on projects or improvements is preferable however consideration will also be given to candidates who can demonstrate good leadership skills.
There is supportive management from a senior occupational therapy teamand the wider management and leadership team. We work collaboratively with our health and social care teams, housing, and other partners with a strong focus on integrated working and ensuring positive outcomes for service users. We have good learning and development opportunitiesand promote career progression in management andleadership through our accredited SVQ centre.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Professional Qualification in Occupational Therapy
Registration with HCPC
PVG (adults & children)
Full UK Driving Licence
