  Band 8B – Salary Range £67,285 - £71,978 per annum plus

Distant Islands Allowance of £2,256 per annum

A Relocation Allowance of £8000 is available

We are looking for a Physiotherapist to join the NHS Shetland Physiotherapy Team and take up the Professional Lead for Physiotherapy Role. You will be a dynamic and inspirational leader who is committed to leading the Physiotherapy Team to deliver the strategic aims of NHS Shetland and the Health and Social Care Partnership. We hope to find someone who will embrace the remote and rural challenges and opportunities and empower the team to deliver high quality services and achieve excellent outcomes for the people of Shetland. The Physiotherapy Team deliver a range of services across the whole of Shetland and there are numerous opportunities to contribute to improving health and well-being for people of all ages.


You will be committed to collaborative working, co-production and engagement with Key Stakeholders, Key Partners and Communities.  Personal Development and support can be tailored to your needs to help you achieve this.


The post holder will predominantly have a Leadership and Managerial role and will work alongside other Professional Leads and the AHP Executive Manager but will also be responsible for delivering expert care for a small clinical caseload. We are especially keen to hear from people with expertise in Neurology, Paediatrics, Mental Health and Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
