Job Advert

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An opportunity has arisen for a person with excellent organisation, analytical and communication skills to work with teams across Dr Gray’s hospital.

The purpose of the role is to improve the frequency, consistency and reliability of data for all aspects of the live hospital systems, including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance (eg water safety), quality audits (eg Care Assurance), planned discharge dates and discharge information (Trakcare), adverse events, complaints and risks (Datix), etc.

You will work with the teams to monitor changes in data consistency and reliability over time, from the baseline to ongoing, using existing data visualisation systems (eg Illuminate) or creating new systems. Understanding of existing protocols and processes that relate to the data collection and input will inform the baseline and how to engage the teams.

You will provide specialist knowledge, advice and guidance to the teams, including training and/or documentation support.

You will work with individuals and teams at multiple levels (administrative and clinical) to improve, develop and/or implement processes that promote quality and consistency in administrative and audit data of the hospital.

You will be supported by, and report to, the senior management triumvirate of Dr Gray’s nursing, medical and management teams, with line management through a similar team at ARI.

In this busy role, you will be expected to be able to prioritise your workload and work to deadlines with a good attention to detail.

Interviews are anticipated to be held in week commencing 16 October 2023.
