An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Forth Valley Prisons for the position of Pharmacy Technician. This post will cover all 3 NHS Forth Valley prisons.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
The role of The Pharmacy Technician is to-
- Undertake the provision of a range of technical pharmaceutical services within the area of responsibility under the direction of a Team leader whilst receiving clinical support and professional guidance from a Pharmacist.
- Work alongside other members of the team to provide the cost effective use of medicines.
- Comply with relevant procedures, standards and guidelines, Health and Safety at Work and COSHH regulations.
- Ensure compliance with professional registration and Continuing Professional Development.
- Assist with training and the supervision of less experienced staff as necessary to ensure a working knowledge of systems and processes is in place.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete an Enhanced Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.
