About the Organisation:
We are seeking a Senior Marketing and Communications Officer with a ‘can do’ approach, to join our established marketing and communication function within NHS National Services Scotland (NSS). You should be a talented and enthusiastic individual with experience in a similar or relevant role.
Our Senior Marketing and Communications Officer will shape and communicate messages about the work of NSS to internal audiences, external NHSScotland practitioners and partners, and to wider stakeholders and citizens, across a range of platforms.
The Post:
On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer will take a proactive approach on internal and external campaign planning, building good relationships and networks across the business to support collaborative and integrated comms delivery.
They will also work on a rota basis to manage a busy comms mailbox, manage reactive and proactive media enquiries, help us strategically grow our social media presence, and play a creative delivery role in our ambitions to continuously evolve our internal communications.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in seeing the bigger picture. They will also be someone who firmly believes in the power of good communications and engagement, bringing well-evidenced creative and strategic content development, media relations, internal engagement, and digital experience.
This role is varied and offers opportunity to help shape and influence how we continuously improve across our communications channels, products and services.
Most of all, they will be a good team player working together to continuously improve how we deliver our service.
Alongside, an expectation to deliver to tight deadlines, reprioritise workloads and have the ability to work well under pressure, it is also an expectation to be creative and innovative in how we engage and communicate.
We are looking for a proven relationship builder to champion communications across the organisation. Experience of working in a large complex organisation, based across multiple sites, will also be an asset, but is not essential.
Location and Working Pattern:
This post can be based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
A hybrid model of working is currently in place.
The work pattern is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
