MARKINCH MEDICAL PRACTICE

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

37.5 hours (flexible)

Salary £42,530 - £54,482 (depending on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic advanced nurse practitioner who will work flexibly within our team with a focus on patient centred care. The role will in the main be focused on triage, clinical assessment, decision making and management of urgent presentations.

A knowledge of chronic disease management would also advantageous but is not essential.

We are a practice with a list size of 6000. Our purpose-built premises are in the village of Markinch, in the heart of Fife, with excellent links to Edinburgh and Dundee. Our semirural location is a short distance from St Andrews and the picturesque coastal villages of North East Fife.

We feel that work life balance is important, focusing on team and flexible working.

Days and hours of work are negotiable.

We are a GP training practice, with trainees from NHS Education for Scotland GP Training program and the Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine scheme (ScotGEM.)

Our team includes; 4 GP partners, salaried GP, triage nurse, Practice nurse and Health care assistant. The wider NHS team in the practice also includes a mental health nurse and counselling service. We have highly motivated and supportive administrative and secretarial teams.

We are also fortunate to have the District Nursing team within our building.
