Charge Nurse, Mental Health Inpatients, Stobhill Hospital
Within our Inpatients Mental Health Services the delivery of safe and effective care is paramount to our philosophy of care. We believe in preserving people’s dignity during their stay with us. We also believe in looking after our staff’s welfare and we are now keen to recruit Band 6 Charge Nurses to join our inpatients mental health teams.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Charge Nurse to provide nursing leadership and specialist assessment, care and interventions for our patient group. You should have significant experience at Band 5 level or above.
We are looking for someone who has the knowledge and skills to assist the Senior Charge Nurse with the leadership and motivation of a team of registered and non-registered nursing staff. Participating in as well as providing regular Nurse Line Management Supervision, Clinical Supervision and undertaking line management responsibilities are critical aspects of the role.
Within this role you will have an opportunity to enhance your skills and access specific training to support your ongoing professional development. The post-holder will directly contribute to safe, efficient and person centred care and treatment and contribute to site page holding duties, which will require you to work across the mental health inpatient service to ensure nursing care meet the needs of the service.
The mental health inpatient service includes:-
- Adult Acute Admission, Care Treatment Wards, including Specialist Eating Disorder and ESTEEM services
- Rehabilitation ward
- Older Adult Admission, Care & Treatment ward
- Intensive Psychiatric Care and Treatment Unit
- Specialist Dementia Care and Treatment
- Therapeutic Activity service.
It is essential you are a NMC (UK) registered Mental Health Nurse. You should have knowledge and experience of working with patients with Mental Health conditions and be able to demonstrate that you are able to fulfil the essential criteria required for this leadership and development role.
