Various bases within the North East of Glasgow that includes Parkhead, Bridgeton, Easterhouse, Shettleston and Springburn.  Various hours, full and part time, will be considered.  ​​​​​​​

The District Nursing Service will undertake case management and skilled clinical interventions which encompass a broad spectrum of technical expertise, health education and health promotion in order to rehabilitate or promote and maintain independent living for patients and their support carers.  You will provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.  You will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience to lead and enable the district nursing team to provide a quality nursing service.  You will be a registered nurse who will support the district nurse in delivering care to patients within the caseload.  You will be responsible for providing skilled nursing interventions for patients within the caseload. You will manage delegated activity within the caseload, and provide support to other members of district nursing team.  It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have evidence of continuing professional development.  Having a current driving license would be desirable. These posts are full time 37.5hrs, part time hours maybe considered. The shift pattern for this post is between the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm.  As holding current full professional registration is an essential requirement for the post, candidates who do not complete the professional registration section of the application form or who do not hold current full registration may not be considered for shortlisting. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme​​​​​​​
