The Ayrshire Hospice provides quality specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting illness within Ayrshire and Arran.  We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s homes, care homes and hospitals, as well as in the hospice itself.  This is provided at no cost to our patients or their families.  Our vision is to reach and improve the lives of everyone in Ayrshire affected by life-limiting illness.

An opportunity has arisen within the Ayrshire Hospice Community team.  We are looking for 3 motivated and passionate staff nurses to join our team of palliative care nurses in providing exceptional care to patients with a life limiting illness, and their families, at home.

The job, although demanding, is incredibly rewarding.  Our hospice values are compassion, being inclusive and being kind and honest.  We strive to meet these values not only in our care of patients but also in our supporting of staff.  Our community specialist nurses are dedicated and work as a dynamic and motivated team.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in holistic assessment, communication and symptom management in palliative care. We encourage our staff in both personal and professional development.

The candidate should be a registered nurse, either to degree level, or with extensive palliative care experience.
