The shift pattern is Monday to Friday.
An opportunity has arisen within our service for a Band 7 Physiotherapy Advanced Specialist post in North NHS GGC Specialist Children’s Services. This would be up to 33 hours per week as a permanent contract. (0.88 wte available) Hours negotiable and alternative options may be considered.
The post holder will have experience in complex disability in a paediatric physiotherapy caseload at a senior level. They will ensure the delivery of safe and effective care for the children and their families who are referred to this service. They will have experience in multi-disciplinary working and be able to communicate clearly with partner agencies.
As a member of the GGC SCS Physiotherapy team the post holder will be expected to provide highly specialist advice and support to more junior physiotherapists and healthcare support workers.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider GGC community physiotherapy service developments in order to achieve national priorities and deliver key service improvements.
As an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist you will provide comprehensive specialised assessment, treatment and management to children and young people who have complex clinical conditions including general developmental delay, disorder of movement, disability or illness which may be impaired, controlled or alleviated by physiotherapeutic skills and or the use of specialised equipment. You will have a clinical caseload and will ensure the delivery of safe, effective patient care for children and young people referred to our service.
There will be training and mentoring offered. It is essential that you have a Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC. You are expected to be working towards masters level post graduate qualifications and to be competent in assessing a wide range of paediatric conditions based on sound theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, often in situations where conflicting evidence is present. You will have relevant post registration experience working with children and young people. Some community experience would be beneficial. Car driver essential.
