PA/Administrator
The Post/Candidate:
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Public Health Scotland as one of our PA/Administrators. In this role, you will:
- Hold an HNC/HND in Office Administration (or related subject) or have an equivalent level of experience, and be able to demonstrate an ability to operate within a senior administrative and secretarial role.
- Have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, MSTeams and PowerPoint is required
- A knowledge NHS applications such as PECOS would be beneficial, though training will be provided.
- Importantly be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding organisational abilities.
- Be able to deal confidently with senior managers, staff and stakeholders
- Be self-organised, meticulous and thrive in a busy environment.
We hold several vacancies and these are on a fixed term basis until the end of September 2024 with the possibility of an extension to becoming permanent.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Central Quay, Glasgow. PHS currently operations a hybrid working model, with a mixture of working at home and in the office each week.
Please note that PHS is currently in the process of relocating from Central Quay, Glasgow to Bothwell Street, Glasgow from early 2024.
Whilst this role is full time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), part time hours will be considered.
During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.
It is a condition of this employment that you have the right to work in the UK and must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
