CONSULTANT IN GENITOURINARY & HIV MEDICINE

LESS THAN FULL TIME (7PA / 28 HOURS)
£96,963 - £128,841 per annum pro rata
The team at Highland Sexual Health are seeking to appoint an additional less than full time (7PA) Consultant in Genitourinary & HIV Medicine to help meet the increasing demands within the specialty, in particular to develop outreach services for the most vulnerable, hard to reach and marginilised individuals. The appointee will develop and lead the medical care for outreach services and will include monthly clinics in more remote & rural areas. Based in Inverness, you will be part of a small enthusiastic, passionate and supportive team.

Highland Sexual Health provides a comprehensive range of services including Genitourinary Medicine (GUM), HIV Medicine, Sexual & Reproductive Health and Gender Identity to North Highland. This Level 3 service provides open access, trauma informed, confidential integrated sexual health care such as STI management and contraception as well as access via formal referral for specialist and complex care including Gender Identity medicine, sexual dysfunction and menopause.
Integrated Sexual & Reproductive Health Services within Scotland are provided by the NHS and are not commissioned services.
There are currently seven sessions available over four days, based mainly at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, with monthly sessions in Caithness and ad hoc sessions at the peripheral clinics in Invergordon and Fort William if required. There is no on-call commitment for this post.
You must be fully registered with a licence to practise in the UK and require to be placed on the GMC specialist register in Genitourinary Medicine or within 6 months of completion of specialty training (CCT) or in possession of CESR at the interview date.
