NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Friday 9-5, with some flexibility required to occasionally work in evenings.
We have a 1WTE Band 7 vacancy for a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP) which is a split post across two services, namely North East Glasgow’s Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT) and NHS GG&C’s Board-wide Psychological Therapies Groups Service, which is based in South Glasgow. The successful postholder will work a proportion of their time in the delivery of structured, evidence-based psychological therapy groups, which are currently being delivered digitally by the Psychological Therapies Groups Service, and a proportion of their time delivering individual psychological therapies to adults matched to PCMHT in North East Glasgow.
You’ll have achieved the MSC ii Psychological Therapy in Primary Care which confers eligibility for the post of Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology in NHS Scotland
The successful postholder will be supervised and supported by a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, will join one or more locality-based Psychology departments and will enjoy a range of CPD and development opportunities.
