​​​​​​​The Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (NRU) in the QEUH is looking for a full-time, permanent Band 6- Highly Specialist Physiotherapist.  NRU (formerly known as PDRU) is a regional resource providing specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation for neurologically impaired and major trauma patients.

The successful candidate must have an interest in neurological rehabilitation and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.  NRU has a team of physiotherapists delivering therapy to maximise patients’ physical function. This post will be predominantly in-patient based however there will be opportunities to work within all aspects of NRU services including specialist clinics.

There is a strong focus on development within the unit and B6 therapists will undertake service development projects both individually and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. This role involves supervision of B5 rotational therapists, generic support workers and students.  

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate inpatient experience and be skilled in neurorehabilitation. 

Applicants must have a Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.

Hours of work are: 8.30-4.30 Mon- Fri (37.5 hours)
