An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 part-time Receptionist in the Scalloway Health Centre.  The Scalloway Practice is a salaried General Practice, providing medical services to a population of approximately 3,700 patients.

In this busy and demanding post, you will find no two days the same – the Reception staff have a key role in answering queries from members of the public as well as typing letters and referrals.  Previous experience of working in a GP Practice would be an advantage but training on the job will be given.  The expected working pattern will be Monday 9-2pm, Wednesday 9-2pm and Friday 9-5.30pm.

Rise to the challenge and enjoy the opportunity - Shetland is a wonderful place to live and work.  Shetland offers low pollution, low crime, excellent schools, great leisure facilities, unique wildlife and amazing scenery, whilst still only a short flight away from the UK mainland.  To find out more about living and working in Shetland go to www.shetland.org and/or https://www.shetland.org/life

You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on http://www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk/resources/hcsw-standards-and-codes/
