Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Ref: 160766)
Substantive, Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Band 8C - Salary Range £79,466 - £85,181 per annum
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,256 per annum
Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available
NHS Shetland’s vision is to build on local strengths in the use of psychological therapies, to have in place a tiered model of delivering evidence-based psychological therapies which meet the needs of people in Shetland in terms of the speed at which people are seen and in the quality of the interventions provided.
This post will be essential in continuing to develop a local high quality psychology service in which service users are at the centre of care and treatment. The post holder will work as an integral member of the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), a truly multidisciplinary team providing recovery-based specialist assessment and management of the full range of mental disorders in working age adults and older adults. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to team clinical governance and the development of the wider mental health service network, by collaborating with clinical and managerial colleagues.
