SENIOR CLINICAL LECTURER (SCHOLARSHIP)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical educator with experience in selection and admissions to medicine to join the thriving and successful team of healthcare educators in the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSM) at the University of Aberdeen.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational clinical educator and will have some experience in outreach activities and medical admissions. In this post they will work collaborative with the Lead for Admissions and the University professional services admissions team. They will be involved in all aspects of outreach, recruitment and selection for medicine including for the Gateway2Medicine and International premedical programme. In addition, they will support recruitment to the MSc in PA studies and the wider delivery of clinical education for the MBChB and other programmes in SMMSN.

The postholder will be based at Foresterhill in Aberdeen, the second largest single site medical complex in Europe, adjacent to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Emergency Care Centre, Maternity and Children’s hospitals and containing a wealth of academic and other clinical buildings.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Clinical scale for Academics below level of Consultant, £60,983 - £86,266 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Successful candidates who are already at Consultant level will be appointed on the salary scale for staff holding honorary consultant contracts, £91,474 - £121,548 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
