Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Team Lead

South Older People and Stroke Services               

1 WTE Band 8a (37.5 hour) – Permanent

Do you want to further your career in the largest health board in Scotland? Do you have a keen interest in supporting advanced clinical practice and improving services?

A rare opportunity has arisen for a dynamic pharmacist to join the existing Older People and Stroke Pharmacy team, based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. You will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team which as part of the Older Peoples active Quality Improvement group is committed to providing high quality patient care to our complex and often frail population. You will be key to the continued development and support of our clinical pharmacy team and to our service to provide quality person centered care to our patient group.

Working together with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist SSOP you will be responsible for the development of clinical pharmacy services to the directorate delivering and supporting innovative practice and pharmacy led clinics. You will be working as an advanced clinical practitioner within this specialty. You’ll need confidence and enthusiasm for multidisciplinary working as an integral member of the team and should demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.

A postgraduate pharmacy qualification and registered independent prescribing qualification are essential. The hours will be Monday to Friday with participation in on call, weekend, extended hours and public holiday rotas as per service requirements.
