Edinburgh MSK Physiotherapy Service
Band 7 PAIN Team Lead – up to 37.5 hrs, 1.0 wte
Base: Lothian Chronic pain service (LCPS), Astley Ainslie Hospital
Are you self-driven and patient centred, with the ability to manage staff? An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead an established team of Physiotherapists within the Lothian Chronic Pain Service (LCPS) and Chronic fatigue Service/Myalgic encephalomelitis(CFS/ME)
The Lothian Chronic Pain Service is made up of the Chronic Pain Clinic and the Pain Management Programme and utilises a multi-disciplinary approach, which includes specialist input from; doctors, nurses, psychologists and physiotherapists. The Chronic fatigue Service/Myalgic encephalomelitis(CFS/ME) provide a similar approach to their client group with both services having enhanced the use of the digital agenda.
We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist who is keen to work in a small supportive physiotherapy team of 3 staff and an advanced physiotherapy practitioner. The team collaborates and works closely with psychologists to provide patient centred pain programmes. You will be at the forefront to influence change and promote the digital agenda.
The service is committed to the development of staff by providing a comprehensive in-service training programme, with opportunities to be actively involved in, service re-design, investigation of new models of delivery, and contribution to our robust performance management system.
