This is an exciting opportunity to join a new and innovative service at the early stages of development. The Crisis Outreach Service seeks to engage and work alongside some of the most vulnerable and hard to reach individuals in alcohol or drug crisis by linking them into appropriate treatment services through a person centred approach.

Successful applicants will benefit from previous experience of working within an Alcohol and Drug Setting. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the benefits of an assertive outreach approach in supporting high risk vulnerable service users into treatment and recovery focussed services.

You should be a First Level Registered Nurse who is enthusiastic and able to demonstrate knowledge in relation to available treatments, harm reduction interventions underpinned by a person centred approach to the role. An understanding of the personal and social impact of alcohol and drug use is essential to the role. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with a number of professional, third sector and voluntary agency partners.

The service operates seven days per week (including public holidays) with shift work a requirement of the role. In addition the successful candidate may be required to provide cover across wider Tier 4 ADRS Services.
