Exciting Senior Management opportunity to lead an existing & successful disability assessment service within NHS Lanarkshire. Overseeing the strategic function and delivery of high quality disability assessments and leading a team of approximately 100 staff.
To date, NHS Lanarkshire (internal Salus department) have been supporting the delivery of over 300,000 high quality disability assessments, via a sub-contractual agreement, on behalf of DWP. The Personal Independence Payment service (PIP – soon to be FAS (Functional Assessment Service)) seeks to provide high quality disability assessments to help support/determine welfare application.
An opportunity has arisen for the Service Manager position, leading a team of 65-85 clinicians, to ensure high quality and compassionate delivery of disability assessments. Supported by a dedicated administrative team, the department services UK residents via a telephony/video model under strict clinical governance and contractual delivery framework.
In a highly autonomous role, the Service Manager will be expected to be clinically qualified and have experience of managing at a senior level in a demanding role. They will have the ability to lead/inspire in a challenging role and be solution focused with strong communication/negotiation skills. They will be highly organised and have experience of driving performance via the interpretation of data.
